CleanSpace for iPhone
Privacy Policy
Summary
CleanSpace does not collect, store, sell or share personal data. Photo and file analysis happens entirely on your iPhone. There is no account, no analytics, and nothing is sent to us. The only party that ever sees anything about your use of the app is Apple, when you buy CleanSpace Pro, and RevenueCat, which confirms that purchase using an anonymous identifier. This page explains exactly what the app touches on your phone and why.

What the app accesses on your device, and why
CleanSpace works only with data that already lives on your iPhone. None of it is transmitted.
- Photo library. With your permission, CleanSpace reads your photos and videos to find exact copies, similar shots, big videos, big photos, screenshots and screen recordings. It writes to the library only to delete items you have chosen and confirmed. You can grant access to your whole library or only selected photos, and change that at any time in Settings › Apps › CleanSpace › Photos. Originals stored only in iCloud are skipped rather than downloaded.
- Folders and external drives you pick. When you scan a folder, iCloud Drive or a connected drive, CleanSpace reads file names, sizes, dates and contents to find duplicate and large files. It deletes files only when you confirm. Access is scoped to what you selected and ends when you forget the location in the app or close it.
- Storage statistics. CleanSpace reads how much space is used and free on your iPhone so it can show you. This stays on the device.
- Scan results. Hashes, similarity scores, quality scores and small thumbnails are stored locally on the device so later scans are faster. "Forget everything CleanSpace learned" in the You tab erases them. Uninstalling the app erases them too.
- Settings. Your preferences (whether to look for similar photos, the similarity threshold, and so on) are stored on the device in the app's preferences.
Data we do not collect
- No analytics or usage measurement of any kind.
- No advertising identifiers and no advertising.
- No crash-reporting or diagnostics SDK. Apple may share anonymised crash reports with us only if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS Settings.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
- No cookies in the app.
- No photos, thumbnails, file names or metadata ever leave your iPhone.
The app's privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types, and the App Store privacy label reflects the same.
Purchases
Payments for CleanSpace Pro are processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple's privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
To confirm that your purchase is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app-user identifier and your App Store receipt data, and returns whether Pro is active. It does not receive photos, files, your name, your email or anything about what you keep or remove. RevenueCat's handling of that data is described in its privacy policy.
This website
clearspacemobile.com is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, whose servers may log your IP address and browser user agent for security and abuse prevention for a limited period, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to the App Store may include a campaign tag so Apple can tell us, in aggregate and without identifying you, how many installs came from this site.
Children
CleanSpace is not directed at children under 13, and because the app collects no data, it collects none from anyone of any age.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or erase on a server. Everything the app knows lives on your iPhone and is removed by tapping "Forget everything CleanSpace learned" in the You tab, or by uninstalling the app.
If you are in the EU, UK, California or another region with data-protection rights and want to make a request or ask a question, email support@clearspacemobile.com. We answer within 30 days.
Security
Your photos and files never leave the device, so there is nothing of yours in transit or on a server for us to protect. Payments are handled by Apple. The app is distributed only through the App Store and is signed by Apple.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we post the new version here with a new effective date and a "What changed" note at the top. Material changes are also noted in the app's App Store release notes.
